  • information used as evidence or as part of a report or news article.
  • used to refer to a particular situation under discussion.
  • fact is a statement that is true
  • can be verified objectively, or proven.
  • fact is true and correct no matter what.

Opinion:

  • a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
  • a statement of advice by an expert on a professional matter.

Fact or Opinion:

Defining Facts & Opinions
fact is a statement that is true and can be verified objectively, or proven. In other words, a fact is true and correct no matter what. An opinion, however, is a statement that holds an element of belief; it tells how someone feels.

So......

Fact means something that is proven for example: the earth is a planet.
An opinion means something that is a feeling, that may or may not be true, and is not proven, for example, Man Utd are the best team in the BPL.
